The North Dakota Child Care Assistance Program helps income-eligible families pay for child care while they work or attend school or training. The Child Care Assistance Program helps eligible parents or guardians pay for child care. Payments are based on the household size and income level or whether the child that needs care has special needs. The purpose of the program is to help families to gain employment or stay employed. Jamie Neppl is the owner and operator of Tiny Tykes Inc in Wahpeton, ND, Milnor, ND and Battle Lake, MN. In 2005 Jamie graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Jamie always knew she wanted to work with pre-school kids, and that her dream was to own a child care center. In 2014, there were no licensed daycares in Milnor. The community decided to change this and formed Youth Opportunity Unlimited, Inc., they created a Board of Directors and began the planning, building, and development of a childcare facility in Milnor. Less than a year later Tiny Tykes Inc, open the doors to the Milnor preschool & daycare.
