About
Southeast Senior Services provides a variety of support services to residents of Richland County.
Funding is provided by the Title III of the Older Americans Act, State Mill Levy Match money, County Mill Levy and local donations. Services have been provided since October 1976, starting with nutrition and transportation services at Wahpeton.
Through the years, satellite programs have developed. At the present time, services are provided in six sites in Richland County.
It has long been the goal of Southeast Senior Services to enrich the lives of the people of Richland County by providing quality services.
Southeast Senior Services is an equal opportunity provider. We do not discriminate against anyone on the basis of sex, handicap, race, color, age, national origin or religion.
Giving Back
As the senior population in Richland County continues to grow, there will be an increased need for the variety of services we provide. This growth in need combined with reduced federal funding means that we must turn to our communities for financial support to continue the legacy of services that we provide.
Southeast Senior Services is a 501 (c) (3) public charity and does rely on regular donations to support the services that we offer. This allows our seniors who are financially unable to contribute to still receive the care they need. No set fees are established (except for transportation) and seniors are asked to donate what they can to offset costs.
