Chahinkapa Park is run by Wahpeton Parks & Recreation Department. Park entrances are located at 2nd Street and 8th Avenue North or 1st Street & 7th Avenue North. Park visitors are encouraged to use the many recreational facilities – playground equipment, horseshoe courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, football field, picnic areas, open grass areas, sand volleyball courts, camping facilities, skateboard park, carousel, a zoo, a winter recreation area and the adjacent Bois de Sioux Golf Course.
